i'm so glad that america has put its racist past behind and everybody is equal now! can't black people just let bygones be bygones? well on second thought, and then there is this in the news. oh well. but racism is officially over! whew. i feel better.

been a little slow in getting to the blog this week. not much time to write still, but check out the cold storage page. some of those links should be up and running by this weekend.

well the mustache is coming back. didn't take half as long as i thought it would. i must say i was really surprised at how many people didn't notice. they could tell something was diferent but it just goes to show you that how WE see ourselves is very different from how the world views us. any further proof just tape your voice on a tape recorder -- for most people a yucky experience. "i sound like that!?" in site update news just added the 2cents page. drop me a line. sound off on what i can do to make this site better.

well i just did something today i haven't in twenty years. drum roll. . .i shaved my mustache. my face feels very naked right about now. sarah said i look the same, but i keep seeing a stranger in the mirror. oh well, it'll grow back soon hopefully.

this article in salon.com is worth reading, by harry shearer. and for those that don't know, he was the bassist in spinal tap. now he's the voice of some simpsons characters: monty burns, waylon smithers, and ned flanders. here's a sampling from this article: "If you live long enough, one of the rewards is to get the privilege of seeing each political clich� mouthed in turn by partisans from each side." his new movie sounds pretty funny to boot, if you got the time check it out.

well on a happier muscial note. be sure to check out the mp3 jukebox i added a couple of days ago. we'll see how the download issues effect my server. i don't get a lot of traffic but mp3s can add up on a server. if it starts to be a real problem i'll zip 'em or stuff 'em. enjoy.
