tuesday a.m. quarterback

unless you're a viking fan -- and i do know some -- how can you not be happy for aaron rodgers getting a win last night? the wife should be in a good mood this week.

keep tuned on this blog as the newton/finch family tracks the weeks that all 3 of our teams: redskins, packers, and wildcats post Ws. you'd be surprised (or maybe not) at how rare it is to pull that particular trifecta.

football is back

and all is right with the world -- of course the world would be a lot better with an opening day win. not impressed AT ALL with new coach, zorn's play book, play calling, and definitely not time management.  still its back.  two fantasy leagues and lots of smack talking.  life is good.

some football stuff and blog feature

i hope you stayed up like i did last night to watch old man favre prove he still had it. i pretty sure the missus and i woke up the neighbors when he heaved that picture-perfect spiral to end the game in overtime.

hope you also caught this over the weekend. not on tv of course, since as a division three game i'm sure it was only airing on local cable access in mississippi but it is worth watching this video. my favorite part is the announcers going wild. trinity versus millsap your espy award awaits you at the end of the year.

final football note, check out this very good article from espn about the growing battle between the tv networks and the nfl. on november 29th the packers play the cowboys -- on the nfl network. this game could have major playoff implications for both teams and the entire conference. there will be a hue and cry if most folks can't watch this game. not to mention on december 29th the patriots play the giants, also on the nfl network. if the pats are on the verge of completing a perfect season, there's going to be a lot of ticked off fans unable to watch this historic game.

last note for this post i just addded a little feature called foxy tunes -- when i'm on firefox it shows the tracks playing on my itunes, very nifty.
